Coastal Accommodations is a locally-owned property management company with a team available to help coordinate accommodations in Virginia Beach, a lively coastal city with year-round offerings. They manage some of the most sought-after vacation rentals near the oceanfront and boardwalk. All of their rentals are walking distance to the beach, well-maintained and cared for with the utmost attention to detail.

Sheppard Atkinson, owner of Coastal Accommodations, came to us through Holly Burgess, a networking connection of C/C owner Kaycee McCoy. Sheppard and Holly were looking to ramp up Coastal’s marketing efforts by implementing a monthly e-newsletter. They needed a full template design as well as monthly design, scheduling, and publishing.

When designing Coastal’s template, we wanted to capture the beachy-luxury vibe of their branding. We used their entire color palette, making sure to implement touches of gold throughout, and ended up with several main section headers that would be in every email. Month by month other sections changed, such as the featured events, special offers, and highlighted services, all of which got their own graphics. In the live emails, every graphic is a gif, bringing movement and life to the page instead of simple static images.

Coastal Accommodations’ email campaigns experienced a lot of success. They received open rates that were 8.1% above industry average (36.8% compared to industry average 28.7%) and click rates of 1.9% compared to industry average of 0.83%. We were so grateful to be a part of Coastal’s growth and we look forward to continuing to watch their business bloom!
